By completely rethinking the vehicle’s architecture, this ultra-limited pickup conversion explicitly targets wealthy buyers in hyper-visible markets like Los Angeles and Miami who wish to stand out far beyond the footprint of a conventional SUV. To create the imposing silhouette, the standard enclosed SUV shape is entirely replaced by an open rear cargo bed. The Brabus P900 Rocket Edition demands attention through an adapted, exposed carbon-fiber ROCKET EDITION WIDESTAR design. Visually, the exterior is styled with aggressive red accents that pop against the carbon weave, and the entire chassis sits on massive 24-inch BRABUS Monoblock II EVO wheels.
Under the hood, the engineering overhaul is just as radical as the aesthetic transformation. Brabus increased the displacement of the standard Mercedes-Benz 4.0-liter V-8 engine up to 4.5 liters. This heavily modified 4.5-liter twin-turbo V8 engine now produces a staggering 900 horsepower, or 662 kW. That output represents a significant increase over the standard G63’s already potent 577 horsepower. The newly expanded engine also generates a massive peak torque output of 922 lb-ft (1250 Nm). However, that brute force is electronically limited at 774 lb-ft purely to protect the vehicle’s essential drivetrain components from the overwhelming twist.
Performance metrics are staggering for a vehicle of this size and shape. The custom pickup truck accelerates from 0 to 62 miles per hour (100 km/h) in a blistering 3.7 seconds. That sprint time is a full seven-tenths of a second quicker than the manufacturer’s official claim for the standard G63. Top speed is electronically limited to 149 mph (240 km/h). Moving that much metal at those speeds requires serious fuel consumption, and the P900 Rocket Edition registers a combined fuel economy rating of 17.3 liters per 100 kilometers, alongside CO2 emissions of 393 g/km.
