Since its inception in 1987, A.P.C. has carved out a respected position in the ready-to-wear world with its minimalist aesthetic and casual elegance. In celebration of the label’s 30th anniversary, founder Jean Touitou has published a Phaidon hardback book that chronicles the story behind the cult French imprint. Part-retrospective, part-personal scrapbook and presented entirely in-line with the label’s clean design style, Transmission includes invitations, postcards, ad campaigns and notable collaborations that have benchmarked A.P.C.’s legacy. Also included are never-before-seen illustrations and ephemera that give insight into the Touitou’s design process and the evolution of the brand.
