Eckhaus Latta Twists Conventional Tailoring for Its Spring/Summer 2018 Collection
Everything from office-casual to garden party fits.

Eckhaus Latta hosted its Spring/Summer 2018 runway show in an industrial space located at 99 Scott Avenue in Bushwick, Brooklyn for New York Fashion Week. Usually known for their daring campaigns, unorthodox basics and exaggerated shapes, creative duo Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta shifted gears this season for a more formal collection that remixed everything from office casual fits to garden party garms.
This approach was evidenced from the get-go, with a traditional slate gray suit overhauled with wide shoulders and cropped pants. Similarly, Oxford shirts were chopped and paired with ultra low-rise jeans, while weekend knit tops were visited by sharp cut-out details and sewn-on patches.
This subversive attitude was also reflected in the show’s cast, which featured a pan-ethnic/aged group of people.
