Alessandro Michele kicks off Milan Fashion Week with the debut of Gucci‘s Spring/Summer 2018 collection. Hosted inside an elaborate venue decorated by mummies, sphinxes, broken columns and Grecian statues, the show, according to the press release, draws on “the act of creation as an act of resistance” – resulting in yet another dreamy Michele-ian narrative filled with lush visuals and pristine craftsmanship.
As he’s displayed in every season for the Italian luxury house to date, Michele’s latest collection employs trademark baroque design touches, ornate embellishments, bold graphics and quirky silhouettes – like something you might have dressed up in as a child while rummaging through your grandparents’ closet.
