Earlier this month, acclaimed UK singer-songwriter Sampha cooked up his own take on Solange’s “Cranes in the Sky.” Now, the Process crooner returns via a new visual for his Everything Is Recorded collaboration “Close But Not Quite.” As previously reported, “Close But Not Quite” is built about a well-known Curtis Mayfield sample and stands as the lead single in support of XL Recordings founder/owner Richard Russell’s debut project as Everything is Recorded. Directed and produced by the Black Mountain Workshop crew, today’s visual puts the spotlight on the creative process behind “Close But Not Quite.”

You can view the video for Sampha and Everything Is Recorded’s “Close But Not Quite” above. For more, check out the zine Sampha created to bring his debut album’s narrative to life.
