Rae Sremmurd Star In Their Own Comic Book Mini Series
Featuring Valiant Comics’ Shadowman.
There’s a rich history of cross-pollination between hip-hop and comic books. The latest artists to add their name to the legacy are the southern duo Rae Sremmurd. Billboard has announced the two are co-starring in a new mini-series from Valiant Comics, pairing them up with the musically-inclined superhero Shadowman in Shadowman/Rae Sremmurd #1.
“Comic books are a form of entertainment” Rae Sremmurd’s Slim Jxmmi explained. “I get to make all the sounds and effects in my head. It’s just like you use your imagination—you go through the pictures and the pictures are always awesome. It’s like an escape from reality.”
Shadowman/Rae Sremmurd #1 is scheduled for an October release, with words and art by Eliot Rahal and Renato Guedes, respectively.
