About a year ago, Swedish furniture giant IKEA and Danish design imprint HAY released a surreal teaser for their upcoming collaboration, showing only the materials, shapes and aesthetic sensibilities of their collection. Today, the Scandinavian duo has unveiled the first images of their capsule range, titled YPPERLIG (Swedish for “good, excellent”).

The collaborative range features chairs, lighting, shelves, sofas, desks and various home accessories, all of which boast modern, minimalist designs suitable for a contemporary urban living space. Best of all, the thoughtfully designed range will offer form and function at an affordable price point.

The HAY x IKEA YPPERLIG collection is slated to release this August. Stay tuned for updates and share your thoughts below.

In the meantime, check out IKEA’s other collaborative projects, including a scent with Byredo, a line with Steven Harrington and a potential collab with Virgil Abloh.
