John Elliott heads to Tulum for his latest lookbook, hitting the Mexican seaside city’s sun-soaked beaches to highlight his upcoming Spring/Summer 2017 capsule collection. Dubbed “Watching Water,” the capsule — which originally hit the runway last summer — includes everything from swim trunks and towels to caps, bags, and footwear. Highlights of the warm-weather range include the likes of Italian leather slides and a simple dad hat while the patterned beach towels stand out thanks to their intricate, hand-drawn maze-like motif. In speaking to GQ about the range, Elliott said:

Our brand is growing and with growth means taking on new product categories. Swim is an opportunity to have a discussion with our customer and to present our point of view on a new category… It’s a lighthearted answer to the question, “What does watching water literally look like?” The idea was that the Watching Water concept didn’t have to be interpreted as literally as being at the beach, for example, but could be as simple as watching a beautiful Moroccan fountain.

Elliott’s “Watching Water” capsule will debut online next week with deliveries on Tuesday, March 14 and Thursday, March 16.
