UPDATE: A Nike representative has confirmed that there was only one carton of Air Jordan XIs taken in the reported attempt and that the shoes were not the “Win Like 96” models. The Swoosh also claims that all products have been recovered and will “continue to cooperate with local law enforcement” on the situation.
This past Monday night, two nameless individuals ostensibly trespassed Niketown NYC and attempted to remove one large box of Air Jordan 11s. According to the New York Post, store representatives claimed that the front entrance was unlocked with one person acting as the lookout while the other nabbed the box of sneakers as revealed in the surveillance cameras. Conclusively, approximately $7,200 USD-worth of pairs are recovered and the suspects have yet to be identified.
Niketown NYC will be moving its location from 57th Street to 52nd Street and Fifth Avenue for the Spring 2018 season. Stay tuned for more details.
