FRONTEER — the outdoor and hiking-inspired shoe brand from Jon Tang — has returned with its latest drop of the year, this time releasing a series of colorful takes on its Aqua Solo silhouette. The pack also includes an updated version of the Super Gratton sneaker and an accompanying capsule of packable scout caps.
The Aqua Solo sneaker — which was first seen in a collaboration with Manastash — is inspired by deep water soloing, a type of rock climbing that takes place directly over open water. The shoe mixes elements from water shoes, hiking boots and climbing shoes into one laceless silhouette completed with a Vibram midsole. Compared to the Aqua Solo, the Super Gratton Lo 2.0 is a more lifestyle-orientated shoe, with a canvas lining, a moulded sockliner and a micro-fiber suede sock cover.
The full capsule is available now from FRONTEER’s web store, as well as select stockists including KITH and Slam Jam. The Aqua Solo silhouette is priced at $145 USD, while the Super Gratton Lo 2.0 comes in at $140 USD.
