Mizuno Sportstyle has officially partnered with Sean Wotherspoon and SWJP to release the Wave MG4 LS SW. Built around the philosophy of moving “From City To Nature,” the collaborative project reinterprets the Wave MG4 LS silhouette by blending vintage-inspired aesthetics with multi-environment versatility.
The footwear capsule is anchored by a visual storytelling campaign that follows a journey from the streets of Shibuya into the mountains, demonstrating how the shoe adapts between everyday metropolitan life and rugged outdoor terrain. The conceptual narrative centers on three key transitions: from the city into nature, everyday life into adventure, and a regional Japanese exclusive into a globally available offering.
Visually, this concept comes to life through two distinct color executions. A predominantly black pair serves as a Japanese exclusive designed for city landscapes, while a majorly blue iteration represents the wider global release. Both versions of the Wave MG4 LS SW feature an upper crafted from a mix of denim, breathable mesh, and synthetic materials. Signature SWJP design cues appear throughout, including an original check graphic, bespoke insoles, and functional construction built for everyday wear.
The capsule launches on October 30 online and at select retailers.
