These Celebrities' Sneakers Raised Nearly $300,000 USD for Hurricane Relief
StockX reveals rare samples, Friends & Family releases and more that were auctioned off.
The fifth episode of our partnership with StockX TV focuses on StockX’s recent celebrity sneaker auction for charity. StockX founder Josh Luber and cohost Rick Williams — from Distinct Life and Burn Rubber — break down the 17 sneakers that were donated by luminaries including Eminem, Virgil Abloh, Pharrell Williams, LeBron James and more.
Ranging in age and style, the selection includes several extremely rare samples and Friends & Family models. Jon Buscemi offered up an extremely rare pair of Jordan 10s discussed in a previous episode of StockX TV, while Karlie Kloss, Pharrell, and Emily Oberg donated F&F pairs of adidas kicks — Pitch Black NMD R1s, Pink HU NMDs and Futurecraft 4Ds, respectively.
Other recognizable names, like 2 Chainz, Don C and Steve Aoki, sent in signed sneakers, including Eminem’s signed pair of the Air Jordan 4 Carhartts. Overall the auction raised $293,120 USD for hurricane relief from the Greater Houston Community Foundation and Team Rubicon. Check out an in-depth look and discussion of each sneaker in the video above.
