Celtics' New Guard Kyrie Irving to Receive Special Welcome From the Cavs
On opening night of the new NBA season.

The headline story of a hectic NBA offseason saw Kyrie Irving end his six-year tenure at the Cleveland Cavaliers with a move to the Boston Celtics. Kyrie cited the fact that it was time for him to be the main man of a franchise and he could never do that living in the rather large shadow of LeBron James. Of course, there will always be animosity when such a star player leaves a team, particularly to a conference rival, but that shouldn’t detract from what Uncle Drew achieved during his time in Cleveland. Especially given the fact that the Cavs wouldn’t have won the 2016 NBA Finals without Kyrie’s clutch jumper in the dying moments of Game 7 vs. the Golden State Warriors.
According to Joe Vardon of cleveland.com, Irving will be honored with a video montage when he returns to the Quicken Loans Arena in a Celtics jersey this Tuesday. The video is meant to act as a thank you message to Irving for everything he has helped the franchise achieve.
