Nike's Modified SF-AF1 Drops in Black & Gum Next Week
The “String” colorway isn’t the only one on the way.
If you missed out on the original “Black/Gum” colorway of the Special Field Air Force 1 that dropped back in November, fear not: Nike has another version of the kicks on the way. Due out next week to coincide with the “String/Gum” release, these differ ever so slightly from that OG drop and incorporate their ballistic nylon on the tongue in place of the original’s smooth leather. The leather construction has also been changed up a bit in favor of a tumbled variety while the upper’s monochromatic styling extends down to the midsole. Finally, while the rugged high-top design’s dual ankle straps remain intact, both now come in the military belt-inspired variety as the OG paracord strap goes by the wayside.
Like the aforementioned “String” release, these are due to hit Nike Sportswear spots like Rock City Kicks on January 19 for $165 USD.
