Exuding rebellion, the Damir Doma 2017 spring/summer collection is a mashup of current fashion trends and the Hot Topic store at your local mall. The collection — which avoids red, but touches nearly every other color in the spectrum — highlights the oversized and elongated silhouettes that the Croatian designer has come to be known for. Bondage pants and leather collars are clearly a reference to the punk aesthetic while mesh tops channel rave-culture, all done in beautiful high-fashion materials. Fabric choice was in careful consideration as everything from a heavy black bomber jacket to a clear parka to loose flowing pants appears in the range. Prints are kept to a minimum and instead the designer relies on texture to draw attention to the clothing. Fringes on long shirts, patchwork vests and raw edges on pants are just some of the details that Doma has incorporated into the season. Check out the the men’s runway collection above and look for it to hit stores in late 2016.
