One of the holiday season’s most highly anticipated games is here: Nintendo has officially launched Super Mario Run for iOS. Developed by Shigeru Miyamoto and Nintendo specifically for Apple’s mobile operating system (it will, however, be available for Android sometime next year), the game includes multiple modes and a number of unlockable characters. While select portions of the game are available for free, a one-time payment of $9.99 USD will unlock the game in its entirety. And Nintendo and Apple are betting that the vast majority of players will indeed shell out the 10 bucks for the entire Mario Run experience: mobile app store intelligence firm Sensor Tower is projecting that the game will rake in $71 million USD in its first month alone.
Super Mario Run can be downloaded now via the App Store.
