Toronto Builds Its First Rooftop Ice Rink
32-stories high in the heart of downtown T-dot.


Toronto just built a custom ice rink at the top of a 32-story building. Located on Adelaide St. West of the financial district in the heart of downtown T-dot, the new rink is about half the official NHL size and is big enough for three-on-three games. The project started development late November and is just days away from completion; once finished the rink will have a weekly operational cost of $100,000 CAD (approximately $70,600 USD).
The rink was built as part of brewing company Molson Canadian‘s #AnythingForHockey campaign that honors the popular Canadian sport, but will only be available for access to Molson contest winners. You can watch the making of the rink in the 30-second timelapse video below.
