Vans Releases a Jaw-Dropping Trailer for Its New Snowboard Movie "First Layer"

Vans Snowboarding has debuted its latest European project, a documentary film titled “First Layer.” Showcasing its dynamic European snowboard team, the feature includes riders such as Arthur Longo, Sami Luhtanen, Will Smith, Sparrow Knox, Markus Keller and more. Using footage collected during the winter of 2015 the movie depicts a diverse range of environments, from the Scandinavian region of Lapland to the mountainous terrain of Patagonia to the fresh powder of the Alpines. Showcasing a blend of street riding, backcountry and travel, the team highlights a unique vision of the sport. The exclusive video edit comes with a 100-page photo book archiving the season’s greatest shots from French photographer Matt Georges, who also happens to be an art director and long-standing member of the Vans Family.
