Meet the Artisan Making Handcrafted Resin Pots From Pixelated Casts
A short film by ‘Jocks&Nerds’ and Shinola.
New Zealand-born artisan Phil Cuttance is the last feature of the year in Shinola London’s ‘Community of Craft’ pop-up shop series, captured in a short film by men’s style publication Jocks&Nerds. Currently based in North London where he works from his studio and workshop, Cuttance specializes in handcrafting resin pots and vases rendered from striking pixelated surfaces. By manipulating the mold by hand prior to the casting process, each iteration is a truly unique piece of art. In this short documentary film, Cuttance brings us behind the scenes of his bespoke process and discusses the inspiration behind his work.
