Having wrapped earlier this month, The Hundreds has released a behind the scenes video documenting Dave Kinsey’s new mural at this year’s POW! WOW! Japan. Describing his process as one that is planned out well in advance, the iconic street artist discusses the inspiration behind the new work and how he typically prepares for a new piece. “I kind of felt this one was appropriate for Japan because of the landscapes, the different types of temples. I tried to remain somewhat authentic to the culture,” says Kinsey. “Everything’s almost orderly in a way, so I kind of wanted to tie that in to the piece I was doing here.” You can check out the full video, and see our recap of POW!
