LNDN DRGS Get 'Aktive'
The Vancouver/Compton duo channels classic funk on their new album.
West Coast duo LNDN DRGS burst onto the scene earlier this year before officially signing with FOOL’S GOLD RECORDS. Comprised of Vancouver producer Sean House and Bompton rapper Jay Worthy, the pair unveils their debut studio album Aktive, which features a cover art illustration by Doggystyle and Joe Cool. At first impression the album delivers an energetic sound where robust house party anthems are balanced by Jay’s laid back bars, and supplemented by guest vocals from familiar names like Krayzie Bone and K-Dee. Production ranges from slowed down samples to bassline-heavy beats that inject their sound with a distinct funk flavor.
