Update: After initial images of the Brain Dead x adidas Stan Smith – now revealed to be called the “Unstructured” – surfaced online two weeks ago, the sneakers have landed an official release date.

Described as “an ode to the legendary Wimbledon champion,” the sneaker’s structure stays true to the “Unstructured” name. The silhouette is crafted from unlined supple cow leather, making for a more malleable fit and feel.  A grass-like texture engulfs the heel of the green and white shoe, with hits of Brain Dead branding appearing on the tongue and tips of the laces.

Ng also linked up with the Bob Baker Marionette Theater to craft a “Brain Dead x Adidas – Mechanics of Swing” marionette.

The “OG colorway” of the Brain Dead x adidas Stan Smith sneakers are set to release in-person only – first on Saturday, July 6 at Dover Street Market London, and followed up by another release on Sunday, July 7 at Brain Dead’s tennis event at London’s Cumberland Lawn. Read more about the joints in the original article below.

Original Story: It looks like there might be another Brain Dead x adidas collab on the way. Brain Dead’s Kyle Ng took to his Instagram to share images of a Brain Dead x adidas Originals iteration of the classic Stan Smith silhouette.

The two first glimpses of the sneaker surface shortly after Brain Dead’s first-ever adidas collaboration, which arrived last week in the form of a reimagined take on the adidas Bowling Shoe.

For Ng’s take on the Stan Smith, he leans into the sneaker’s classic green accents – taking it a step further and bringing in even more of the vibrant hue. The sneaker also stays true to its signature white silhouette, elevated by a perforated Brain Dead logo on one side of the upper.

The tongue sees some more new detailing, stamped with an adidas Stan Smith logo as well as “Endorsed by: Brain Dead” with another one of the label’s faceless logos. Eyelets take a more olive green hue and are complemented by frayed bright green laces. A cream outsole rounds out the design.

Ng also shared a special-edition box for the sneaker on his Instagram, which sees the Three Stripes logo placed inside the Brain Dead head.
