Converse Can Do Sneaker Loafers Too
The athletic loafer trend isn’t going anywhere just yet.

No brand can escape footwear’s hottest trend: the sneaker loafer. First came the controversial but viral New Balance 1906L, which marked the beginning of fashion’s corporate fetish obsession. Many others quickly followed suit. HOKA released its hybrid speed loafer, and Puma the Sophyr Loafer. Even UGG tapped into the Vibram sole loafer race with its relaunched SS25 menswear line. Now, it’s Converse’s turn with the all new All-Star Coupe GB Loafer.
At first glance, the Coupe GB Loafer is more formalwear than athletic wear, but upon closer inspection, subtle signature aspects of the classic All Star sneaker shine through. The loafer is made of minimalist leather paneling and is available in black and off-white. The upper features a tasseled midfoot strap with embossed stars at the tips and an embossed logo on the inner heel. Though more low profile than other sneaker loafer iterations, the Coupe GB still features a classic and flexible Converse sole.
The Converse All-Star Coupe GB Loafer isn’t available for sale yet, but it looks like it will be initially released online in Japan. However, due to the increasing demand for the new wave of reworked athleisure, we’re sure to also see a US release soon. You can check back here for updates as they come.
