The Row Goes Lightfooted For Resort 2026

The brand’s latest no-phone, no-shoe runway collection was made for the best dressed homebody you know.

No shoes, no phones, no problem. This Paris Fashion Week, The Row staged another offline runway show to debut its Resort 2026 collection. It’s not the first time that The Row banned all phones at a runway show, although it was previously met with much online controversy. The Row’s clothing has always been defined by its perfect practice of minimalism, yet during the insanity of fashion week, when the runway’s atmosphere pauses the roaring tides to match the brand’s simplicity, it often feels like a radical statement against the grain.

This season, seating was first come, first serve in salon style, with guests sat across couches and latecomers with their legs crisscrossed on the carpeted floor. Interestingly, Balenciaga also opted for a show sans seating chart this season, but the large roster of celebrity appearances was cordoned off in their own protected front row.

The biggest absence this season besides phones was the lack of shoes. Models softly trotted along, wearing nothing but knit stockings between their feet and the runway floors. The tousled hair and soft feel of the looks emphasized the feeling of being caught in the act of dressing, like when a dinner guest arrives an awkward 15 minutes too early.

Overall, each piece was filled with the inherent luxurious ease that has come to define the brand. No look clung uncomfortably to the body, and loose coats, knits, and dresses were relaxed yet remained intensely private as the hair shielded the eyes. Bags were also kept to minimum. If the Margaux bag was last year’s biggest moment, this runway was marked by low profile shopping totes.

Classic to The Row’s curated image, the brand only released film photos a few days after the show. You can take a look at the full Resort 2026 collection in the gallery above.
