Albino & Preto stays locked in in the dojo, consistently delivering tasteful and practical Brazillian jiu-jitsu gear for all levels of sparring. While the brand has locked down its unique design language, it has also become an incubator for industry-wide collaborations, with recent endeavors involving Padmore & Barnes, TRASHMANGRN, Sig Zane Designs and Astro Boy. For its next fight, it’s facing off against fellow California-based HUF for a collaborative capsule that combines the world of Brazilian jiu-jitsu with the world of skateboarding.

As explained in a press release, the collaboration – which has been a long-anticipated drop from the Albino & Preto team – is rooted in the similarities between skateboarding and jiu jitsu, specifically tapping into the shared “grit and toughness” prominent in both sports’ mentalities. Complete with training gear for both “gi” and “no-gi” fighters, the drop also consists of more casual hoodies, graphic tees and accessories, including a mesh bag and adjustable cap.

The training gear comes emblazoned with co-branded logos and motifs stamped throughout alongside additional flipped graphics that pay homage to San Francisco. “Go to sleep. Don’t bite me. F*ck it. HUF Worldwide. Albino & Preto. Wait What?!” reads the back of one T-shirt, while another is stamped with “As jiu-jitsu practitioners, we are taught to always think ahead.”

Peep the Albino & Preto x HUF capsule in the lookbook above and expect it to drop for purchase on Albino & Preto’s webstore on March 6 at 12 p.m. PST.
