Kanji-stitched gis, splatter-print rash guards and archival arcade graphics cover every round from the mats to the street.
Summary
Albino & Preto teams up with the classic arcade franchise 'Shinobi' on a martial arts capsule spanning gi, NoGi and lifestyle pieces
Black and white co-branded gis carry bold embroidery across the back and kanji running down the pants
Heavyweight tees and hoodies pull from archival Shinobi illustrations, kanji typography and the game’s signature logo
Albino & Preto and Shinobi have linked up on a collaborative capsule that dresses grapplers like the arcade ninja they grew up playing. The range covers three fronts: traditional gis for training in the kimono, a technical NoGi kit for submission work and a run of heavyweight streetwear built for life off the mats. Across all of it, the ninja motif is translated through embroidery, kanji and archival game art rather than costume-level gimmicks.
The gis anchor the collection, arriving in black and white versions that both wear co-branded identities front and center. A stacked SHINOBI wordmark sits over a red crest emblem on the chest, while the back gets a large embroidered statement piece that turns heads during a roll. The details continue below the belt, where red kanji characters run vertically down the pant legs, giving each gi a striking silhouette in motion.
For NoGi training, the capsule shifts into technical territory with rash guards and fight shorts built around a splatter treatment. The black rash guards carry kanji along the sleeves, while the shorts pair dark bases with cream and red splatter panels that echo the gi’s palette. Together, the set gives competitors a uniform that ties back to the kimono pieces without repeating them outright.
Albino & Preto frames the whole project as a return to childhood obsession. “Every kid, at one point, wanted to be a ninja,” the brand said in its brief for the collaboration, crediting the arcade game with fueling its early fascination with martial arts.
That nostalgia comes through most directly in the lifestyle range. Heavyweight graphic tees and hoodies revive archival Shinobi artwork, with one tee framing an illustrated ninja scene inside panels of kanji text and others keeping it simple with the bold SHINOBI logo across the chest. The black hoodies follow suit, offering a cleaner way to rep the collaboration once training is done.
