Update: First rumored back in July of 2024, we finally have a first look at the Air Jordan 1 High OG “UNC Reimagined.” While we were unaware of what sort of spin they would put on the model for this entry in the “Reimagined” series at the time of its initial discussion, we now have confirmation that it will feature aged detailing similar to that of 2022’s hit “Lost & Found” release. Based on this limited preview, this approach again includes cracked leather at the collar, yellowing at the midsole and whitening at the outsole. As expected, the OG “UNC” color blocking remains in tact. Release is currently scheduled for May 10 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $180 USD. Stay tuned for updates, including official imagery, and review our initial breakdown below for more info.

Original Story: A revived take on the popular Air Jordan 1 High OG “UNC” is reportedly set to release in Summer 2025.

As per Sneaker Files/zsneakerheadz, the “UNC Reimagined” model will feature the original 1985 colorway with an unspecified “twist.” While the new version is yet to be unveiled, fans can look forward to the OG iteration’s white base and “Dark Powder Blue” overlays that honor Michael Jordan‘s alma mater, the University of North Carolina.

The late Virgil Abloh previously debuted his own take on the revered shoe during the 2018 Met Gala, as did Chrome Hearts a few years later.

Stay tuned for official imagery, and a release date and price tag.
