Update: We caught a first look at a new Brain Dead x adidas Bowling Shoe back in early February, with the two tapping Dover Street Market for this “Core Black” colorway. Now, it is officially set to drop tomorrow exclusively via the boutique. As mentioned in our initial breakdown below, it features a black leather upper with white contrast stitching, debossed co-branding, and a rubber outsole for casual wear. Release takes place tomorrow, April 17, via Dover Street Market at a starting price of $230 USD.
Original Story: Dover Street Market, Brain Dead and adidas Originals have joined forces to debut an updated version of the Bowling silhouette in a “Core Black” colorway. Following the initial collaboration between Brain Dead and adidas in June 2024, the new edition with DSM revives the ’70s model with a contemporary twist.
The “Core Black” iteration is crafted with premium leather uppers in black and soft contrasting whites with the exposed stitching. The Three Stripes branding remains present on the panel, while additional co-branding details can be found on golden ankle stamp, insoles and monochromatic embossed heel insignias. The shoe then rests on a wooden slide sole and rubber stop heel for reinforcement, while black laces tie them together for a classic finish.
