Central Cee Enlists 21 Savage for Cross-Atlantic Collab "GBP"
Set to appear on Cench’s debut album ‘Can’t Rush Greatness.’
The UK and US’ rap cultures collide in Central Cee and 21 Savage‘s “GBP.”
The new collab, which is set to appear on Cee’s debut album Can’t Rush Greatness, fuses the distinct sounds of both artists over a hypnotic vocal sample and hard-hitting beat. Cench reflects on his rise to stardom but remains rooted in reality, and even references his appearance at the 2023 British Fashion Awards when he stepped on the red carpet in a tracksuit — his own way of embracing London’s street culture.
Meanwhile, 21 complements Cee with his own gritty lines, aiding the track’s strong storytelling aspect. The duo’s musical chemistry is, frankly, undeniable, and the mix of their styles deliver what could be one of the strongest tracks off the new album.
“GBP” also arrives with an accompanying music video, filmed in Atlanta and helmed by Cole Bennet/Lyrical Lemonade.
