Update: Hot off of the return of the original Nike KD 4 “Aunt Pearl” last month, Kevin Durant and the Swoosh are back with a new iteration within the long-running series. The theme has been brought to the KD 17, as previewed in our original story below, with a special heel detail placing the initials “AP” and “KD” next to each other on the left and right shoes respectively. Release is set to take place this week on November 15 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $160 USD.
Original Story: Nike and Kevin Durant are carrying on a long-standing tradition that stems from 2012. In honor of his beloved late Aunt Pearl, Durant continues to release designs that reflect his aunt’s influence with his coveted Nike shoe lines. The upcoming KD 17 silhouette is receiving a special treatment which sees the shoe dressed in pink foam and beyond pink hues. The upcoming design sees the shoe sit on a pink outsole featuring complementing Swooshes. To match, the shoe also has embroidered “AP” and “KD” heel accents intertwined with pearl patterned embroidery. Look out for the pair arriving this holiday season.
