Nike has officially re-signed San Antonio Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama to a new long-term endorsement deal that includes his own signature basketball shoe. First reported by ESPN’s Shams Charania, the multi-year agreement secures the French phenom as a signature athlete for the Swoosh.
The announcement comes after Wembanyama’s original Nike contract was set to expire in October. The brand officially confirmed the extension through an Instagram video, which also debuted his official signature logo. Designed to incorporate Wembanyama’s initials, the logo features an alien face motif honoring his nickname.
Wembanyama originally signed with Nike in 2022 while playing for Metropolitans 92 in France before agreeing to an extension ahead of the 2023 NBA Draft, where he was selected first overall by San Antonio. Details regarding the design and rollout of his inaugural signature sneaker currently remain under wraps.
