Original Story: ASICS has come together with Masayuki Ino’s Doublet to give a cardboard spin on the GEL-KAYANO 20. Inspired by everyday items, the shoe mimics the shoe’s signature cardboard box packaging, utilizing materials like Tyvek, a durable material that resembles cardboard to make it stand out. The shoe still features its signature wave-like patterns across the shoe, while the panels resemble that of cardboard cross-sections. The shoe features blue laces that are reminiscent of the vinyl tape used for shipping boxes to continue the cardboard theme. Look out for the release of the shoe arriving this fall.
