Science Project Zeroes In on "Identity" for Fall/Winter 2024 Release
The Hypebeast Community Center-featured label levels up its “militant minimalism” approach.
Heginz Janvier’s militant minimalism-rooted Science Project – featured in our Hypebeast Community Center series earlier this year – has lifted the veil on its latest seasonal release. The budding menswear label looks to continue establishing its ethos and aesthetic in its latest seasonal release, a sleek selection of apparel entitled “Identity.”
When we sat down with Janvier a few months back to discuss the fundamentals behind his fashion label, he explained “militant minimalism” as “an uncompromised approach to minimalism,” a “hyper-focus on fundamental values” of sorts.
The aesthetic bleeds through Science Project’s newest drop, comprising of mainly monochromatic garments like puffer jackets, structured jacketing, leather sets and pinstriped suiting. Engulfed primarily in hues of black and white, the modular range does play with subtle patterning, with one puffer jacket adorned with a camouflage-esque pattern, and a sweatsuit set stamped all-over Science Project insignias.
A brand driven by simplicity, Janvier is constantly looking to redefine the boundaries of minimalistic fashion. ”The idea of simplicity resonates with me so much because it reflects who I am: simple, straight to the point, but highly effective.”
