Chopard’s New Jewelry Capsule Is Modern-Day Minimalism at Its Finest

Swiss jewelry house Chopard introduces fluid forms to its signature Ice Cube design in its newly dropped capsule collection.
Geometric and ultra-minimal, the house’s Ice Cube offering was initially composed around the motion of light. Ever since its conception 25 years ago, the Bauhaus-inspired, futuristic design has become an archetype of its contemporary design identity.
Continuing to push the modern flair of the Ice Cube line, the latest capsule looks to the nighttime glow of city skylines and more specifically, the small windows of light on overarching skyscrapers. To recreate this look, Chopard’s Haute Joailleries workshops – which lend their name to the new capsule – craft varying heights of mirror-polished cubes and assemble them in a flexible, mesh-like arrangement where light can be captured at different angles.
The final result is the creation of a triple-stacked choker necklace and bracelet. Each made from a base of ethically sourced 18-carat rose gold, the pieces also feature diamonds embedded on every other cube to give off an added sparkle, lending perfectly to wearability on special occasions.
In a similarly fresh-faced vision of contemporary style, the house enlists newly appointed ambassador Bella Hadid for the accompanying “Sculpted by Light” campaign. Poised in front of a city backdrop, the model showcases how the pieces have been engineered to flex around the body, allowing the wearer, and the jewelry, to move as one. She is also captured wearing other pieces from the house’s Ice Cube line, in gold and white gold iterations.
