Merchandise, hand-printed T-shirts, and vintage finds are just about as far as film-related fashion has gone in the past. That is until the launch of Amber&Key last year. A premium clothing brand from Portugal inspired by vintage cinema, it poses the ultimate international film club for fans looking to express their love for the silver screen through authentic and on-trend looks.

In its inaugural collection – aptly titled “The Film Club” – Amber&Key looked to the late ‘90s and early ‘00s era of film with VHS-style graphic designs. Arranging them on heavyweight cotton pieces, such as hoodies, T-shirts, and a wine-bottle compartmentalized bag, the range set the tone for the brand’s imprint with premium materials hosting the themes and styles of filmography.

For the latest drop, one of the most iconic cult cinema auteurs, Stanley Kubrick, is honored through a playful line of outerwear and mid-layer garments. Using his 1999 film Eyes Wide Shut as the starting point, each item incorporates a series of famous quotes and character sketches in an artistic portrayal that reflects Kubrick’s similarly creative flair.

The black canvas jacket is a stand-out piece in the line with its brocade-style embroidery inspired by the film’s interior backdrops, and sits on top of the film’s line, “Last Summer at Cape Cod.” Paying attention to every detail, Amber&Key prints the lining with an illustrative print which also appears on a boxy cotton shirt.

To complement this hero piece, new hoodies and T-shirts take on the collection’s dedicated graphics in bold red and purple tones as well as greyscale prints of iconic scenes. Miniature pins, posters, and ashtrays are also served up for super fans who want to rep their love for Kubrick to the max.
