COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS brought 1999’s Nike Air Max Sunder back to the market in 2022, crafting three monochromatic takes on the sneaker. This year, the Swoosh decided to bring the sneaker back itself via in-line launches as it celebrates the 25th anniversary of the sneaker. After releasing several initial looks, Nike went on to reveal GORE-TEX pairs during its latest SNKRS Showcase livestream.

Now, official imagery of two of the Air Max Sunder GORE-TEX colorways has surfaced. The “Black” look sees the zipper-equipped sneaker presented in an all-black finish that emphasizes its unique build. As for the “Hyper Crimson” rendition, its bright red hue combines with black detailing for an eye-catching color combination. Both pairs sport a water-repellent ripstop at the upper while the inner lacing system has been removed to convert it into a true slip-on shoe.

At the time of writing, Nike has not shared a specific release date for either the “Black” or “Hyper Crimson” colorways of the Air Max Sunder GORE-TEX. Based on its inclusion in this year’s SNKRS Showcase, it’s expected to drop in early 2025 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $210 USD in women’s sizing. Stay tuned for updates as we await more info.
