CHANEL Reveals Watch That Also Doubles as a Necklace and Wired Headphones
The CHANEL PREMIÈRE SOUND watch launches on September 2.
CHANEL has revealed a watch with an 18k gold-coated woven steel chain, allowing it to be worn as a long necklace and detachable wired headphones. The PREMIÈRE SOUND watch is modeled after the brand’s ORIGINALE ÉDITION PREMIÈRE timepiece and aims to take the piece to the next level. The 18k gold-coated woven steel chain is modeled after CHANEL’s instantly recognizable chained shoulder strap seen on the classic flap bag.
The ORIGINALE ÉDITION PREMIÈRE watch was first released in 1987 and featured an octagonal case inspired by the iconic Chanel No. 5 perfume bottle. The case is back in this edition with a matching 18k gold coating and a black watch face.
If CHANEL lovers wanted more from their watches than just the time, they’re in luck as wearers can now listen to music thanks to the detachable headphones the watch comes with. The headphones are subtle and sophisticated, coming in black with gold accents. The CHANEL logo is placed on the sides to differentiate it from the run-of-the-mill wired headphones. The headphones use a 3.5 mm jack for USB-C audio adapters to work with multiple devices.
