Carhartt WIP First Fall/Winter 2024 Collection Is the Calm Amidst the Chaos
Leaning into collegiate style codes in another clean, cohesive delivery.
Carhartt WIP is gearing up for the dropping temperatures in its newest seasonal release. Displayed in a lookbook captured by seasoned brand collaborator Paul Mérelle, the new collection is contextualized on the streets of New York City, creating a captivating juxtaposition of clean, cool-toned garments – technical vests, jackets and knitwear included – against the urban backdrop.
The outfitter offers up a slew of varsity-inspired styles, including the Brown Ducks Bomber Jacket, which features a felt fabric body fully adorned in chenille patches; the jacket’s sleeves are crafted from artificial leather sleeves. Carhartt reps the Brown Ducks on a knit sweater and cardigan as well, with each of the knitwear pieces doused in embroidered patches throughout. Collegiate themes resurface elsewhere, evident in a brown-hued tracksuit jacket and retro college crewneck.

With craftsmanship at the crux of all of its presentations, Carhartt relies on corduroy to create a slew of the pieces in its initial Fall/Winter drop, apparent in The Whitsome Shirt Jacket and Landon Pant, which both land in cotton corduroy in shades of neutral gray.
