Aniplex has confirmed the official release date for the new anime season of Demon Slayer.

Revealed in an official promotional trailer, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Hashira Training- is set to premiere in Japan on May 25, 2024. Much like season three’s Swordsmith Village Arc, the new installment will debut with an hour-long special episode. The episode was first aired in select theaters worldwide back in February, where it could be viewed in tandem with the Swordsmith Village Arc’s final episode.

Following the events of its previous season, the trailer opens up with the Stone Hashira, Gyomei Himejime proposing a Demon Slayer Corps-wide “Hashira Training” plan to his fellow members. This season will offer more screen time to the Hashiras that have yet to be properly introduced, such as Wind Hashira Sanemi Shinazugawa, Serpent Hashira Obanai Iguro and Gyomei Himejima, the Stone Hashira. While the arc will focus on Tanjiro and co as they embark on the strenuous training devised by the living Hashiras, the season also teases the return of former Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui, who was permanently injured during the Entertainment District Arc.

The promotional video also offers an ear to the anime’s new theme song, “Mugen” (Dreams). The track is performed by popular rock band, MY FIRST STORY in collaboration with esteemed Japanese musician and record producer, HYDE, who was best known as the vocalist of L’Arc-en-Ciel.
