Rough Simmons Celebrates 5th Anniversary With Archive Collection
Revisiting anime-inspired grails such as the Ora! Ora! Ora! Patched Bomber, Neo-Tokyo Bomber and Toyosato Hoodie.
It’s been five years since Rough Simmons made its debut, with the tongue-in-cheek brand combining sought-after archival designs with references to manga and anime. In celebration of its 5th anniversary, the brand has re-released 12 of its most popular pieces for the brands first-ever lineup of re-issues.
Leading the range, the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure-inspired Ora! Ora! Ora! Arctic Camo Bomber from FW20 sees its vintage treated denim carry thematic patches. The similarly-executed Neo-Tokyo Bomber Jacket based on Akira from FW21 instead utilizes a woodland camo for its base. Additional Akira references are served up courtesy of the Vintage Treated NEOTOKYO Sweatshirt and Vintage Treated Bike T-Shirt, with the latter leaning on K-On! for inspiration as well. Elsewhere, Evangelion’s Rei Ayanami is paid homage to with both the Printed Raglan Fleece Sweatshirt and Scythe Sweater, the latter of which also includes an Asuka Langley Soryu patch. Additional returning apparel options are the Toyosato OS Hoodie, Shark Hoodie, Wide Leg Lounge Pants and Net Cap, while the Patched Cargo Duffle and Patched Duffle Bag complete the roster with unique patches found throughout Rough’s history.
The 12-piece archive collection is available for pre-order now via Rough Simmons. Prices start at $85 USD for the Vintage Treated Bike T-Shirt and go up to $650 USD for the Ora! Ora! Ora! Patched Bomber, as well as the Neo-Tokyo Bomber.
