Seiko Unveils a New Presage Classic Series
Featuring curved and textured dials inspired by textiles.
Seiko has added a trio of new references to its dressy and craftsmanship-focused Presage collection. The watches are categorized under the Classic Series, a diffusion line of the Presage collection that melds transitional Japanese beauty with mechanical watchmaking.
As the series’ name entails, the watches embody classic appeal that draws from traditional Japanese crafts, invoking a gentle and elegant mood. Encased in a 40.2mm stainless steel build, the model is fitted with a new 7-link metal bracelet that’s ergonomically designed for a slim, comfortable, and elegant fit.
The talk of the new Presage Classic Series watches is undoubtedly its dials, which come in curved design and doused in a textiles-inspired texture. A total of three colored dials are available, including the off-white “Shiroiro,” muted persimmon “Araigaki” and charcoal-liked “Sumiiro.”
In addition, two semi-skeleton references are also unveiled as part of the new Presage Classic Series. Arriving in an open-heart dial with an intricately textured radial pattern inspired by raw silk yarns, the watch is offered in off-white and charcoal colorways.
The new Presage Classic Series will be officially launched in June, with the highlighted references above retailing set to retail around $950 USD. Visit Seiko’s official website for more details.
