Seiko has partnered up with TRADMAN’S BONSAI for a collaborative timepiece, unveiling the Seiko Presage Classic Series x TRADMAN’S BONSAI Limited Edition. The collective, known for blending horticultural tradition with contemporary design, lends its vision to this timepiece, making it a rare expression of Japanese craftsmanship.
aesthetic concept draws direct inspiration from the crescent-shaped “moon” pot – a classic bonsai vessel symbolizing harmony and balance – capturing the serene imagery of a black pine illuminated under moonlight. The dial is executed in Matsuba-Iro, a rich, deep green shade derived from pine needles that historically signifies longevity, resilience and immortality.
To impart texture and character, a newly developed embossed pattern coats the dial face, replicating the rugged, tactile surface of aged pine bark. Framing this display beneath a dual-curved sapphire crystal, elegantly curved hands sweep across the textured face, set against a gold-colored plated case and matching bracelet. An additional strap embossed with a traditional three-pronged pine pattern is also included to further emphasize the watch’s connection to nature.
At the heart of the timepiece is Seiko’s in-house 6R51 automatic movement, which operates with a daily accuracy rating of +25/-15 seconds and offers around three days of power reserve. Retailing at £1,250 GBP (approx. $ 1,688 USD) and limited to 2,000 units, the Presage Classic Series x TRADMAN’S BONSAI timepiece is now available for pre-order via Seiko Boutique website, with deliveries beginning in September, 2026.
