Saint Laurent Opens Doors to Dreamy Parisian Bookstore

After opening the doors to its Paris flagship (also the label’s largest) back in December, Saint Laurent‘s creative director Anthony Vaccarello is continuing to connect the fashion house with its Parisian roots, opening the doors to another architecturally alluring venture. Entitled Saint Laurent Babylone, Rue de Grenelle’s newest cultural hub is more than your regular old bookstore; it’s an abode where art, music, fashion and culture of all kinds converge, all through the lens of Vaccarello himself.

Saint Laurent Babylone resembles the interior of the house’s new Paris flagship, intermingling sleek, marble tables with raw, rocky shelving and walls. Rare books rest atop an archival Pierre Jeanneret desk and require gloves for flipping through.

Though it’s not just books you can find at Saint Laurent Babylone – the store also showcases an array of records and magazines, all selected by Vaccarrello to feature. WWD notes the inclusion of a handful of Saint Laurent Rive Droite Edition titles, both old and new, as well as photography by Rose Finn-Kelcey and Juergen Teller.

The cultural apex will also begin hosting events – DJ sets, readings and listening events – at the storefront, with Teller slated to host an in-store book signing later this month.

Saint Laurent Babylone, located at the address below, is open Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m., and Sundays from 12 p.m. – 7 p.m.
