Summary

The Auto-Transforming Business Card Case is the first product in BANDAI SPIRITS' new Mobile Stationery series

Built in ABS using the brand's Chogokin manufacturing know-how, it shifts from a card-presenting posture into a complete transformation that dispenses a card automatically

The unit ships in three colorways, spanning “Black,” “Standard” and “Toy” finishes

BANDAI SPIRITS is applying its toy-engineering pedigree to the office desk with the Auto-Transforming Business Card Case, the launch entry in a new line the company calls Mobile Stationery. Rather than a passive holder, the piece is engineered to move, snapping through a full transformation to hand over a card at the moment of introduction.

The core of the design is its mechanism. The case starts in what the source frames as the ideal posture for offering a card, then transitions smoothly into a complete transformation that presents a card on its own. BANDAI SPIRITS credits the movement to the same production expertise behind its Chogokin work, a lineage the company is channeling into functional engineering here rather than a display figure.

This isn’t a die-cast object trading on metal heft; the Chogokin reference points to accumulated know-how in articulation and transformation, not to the material itself. The result is a lightweight unit sized at roughly 125 mm wide, 95 mm tall and 25 mm deep, compact enough to travel to a meeting. BANDAI SPIRITS recommends No. 4 size cards measuring 55 by 91 mm, with a paper thickness of 0.24 mm, a spec that signals how precisely the feed and transformation are tuned.

The company is candid that the case cannot stockpile many cards and advises saving it for the decisive moment rather than everyday bulk carry, which frames the object as a set-piece tool over a workhorse. Across the three colorways, the specs hold identical, so the choice between “Black,” “Standard” and “Toy” comes down to finish rather than function.

Pre-orders for the Auto-Transforming Business Card Case are open now via TAMASHII ahead of a release expected in October 2026.
