Billionaire Boys Club Launches Lunar New Year Capsule
In celebration of the Year of the Dragon.
Billionaire Boys Club is bringing their eclectic flair to celebrate the Year of the Dragon. BBC ICECREAM is releasing a Lunar New Year capsule that creatively blends the labels’ classic iconography with traditional East Asian heritage motifs.
Staying true to their signature graphics, the collection intertwines the brand’s own emblems like the BBC Running Dog and Icecream motif with graphics that symbolize good fortune in the Chinese culture. Since both Billionaire Boys Club and ICECREAM brands and their respective pieces are featured in the capsule, both labels have presented its own way of honoring the celebrations. Billionaire Boys Club designs sees a dragon coiled around the Arch Logo, reflecting good luck and prosperity. The ICECREAM line features Chinese character “福” which stands for “blessing,” alongside other graphics that symbolize good fortune. Adding a festive touch to the collection, shades of yellow to represent the gold hue, and red colors are used throughout. Gold and red are key colors of good fortune during the Lunar New Year.
The Lunar New Year capsule is available now at BBC ICECREAM stores in Hong Kong and Taiwan. The collection will be made available in BBC ICECREAM US and EU flagship stores and online starting on February 2.
