Update: It’s been several months since we caught a first look at the Nike Air Max DN — what is said to be Nike’s lead silhouette for Air Max Day this year. Now, following the reveal of a “Volt” colorway just weeks ago, we have an official breakdown of the original “Anthracite” pair. While we await its official rundown of specs and inspiration, its textured upper is on full-display with colorful detailing arriving at the new “pods,” the outsole and heel. Release remains anticipated for Air Max Day — which is March 26 — via Nike SNKRS and select retailers.
Original Story: Nike’s celebration of Air Max Day every March not only serves as an homage to the legendary line, but it also looks to the future with the introduction of a new silhouette. For 2023, it spotlighted the new Air Max Pulse, which has recently been iterated upon with the introduction of the Air Max Pulse Roam.
Looking ahead to 2024, we now have any idea of what to expect from Air Max Day with its supposed launch silhouette — the Nike Air Max DN — having appeared via early imagery. A brief look at the pair reveals its modern shape and new Air unit style — featuring four distinct “pods” at the heel. In this initial “Anthracite” colorway, dotted linework spans across the upper with the midfoot and heel highlighted by sleek geometry.
At the time of writing, we’ve yet to receive word from Nike regarding its plans for Air Max Day 2024 and the launch of the Air Max DN. However, the new silhouette is currently expected to be the star of Air Max Day on March 26, 2024 — releasing via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a currently-unknown price point.
