Canada Goose has officially launched a new collaboration with Brooklyn-based fashion brand, KidSuper as a part of Colm Dillane‘s multi-year partnership with the NBA.
The new outdoor-inspired capsule for the 2024 NBA All-Star sees the brand tap fellow Canadian NBA star, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to launch the collection and his latest campaign as the new Global Brand Ambassador. Off the court, Gilgeous-Alexander has been recognized for being one of the most stylist and most influential NBA players in the world. As for the collection, Canada Goose’s CEO Dani Reiss said in a statement, “Col’s designs for the Canada Goose & NBA collection with KidSuper perfectly capture the connection between culture and community the NBA is known for, infused with Canada Goose’s iconic performance luxury DNA.”
The new limited-edition collection brings KidSuper’s eclectic and vibrant vision to life. The capsule bridges art with culture and sports through Dillane’s bold and energetic take on streetwear. Infusing signature Colm Dillane-maximalist creations, that embody creativity and fun, with Canada Goose’s staple silhouettes, the gear receives a uniquely whimiscal presentation that also boasts seamless function. Colm Dillane’s original artwork is central to the collection. Canada Goose pieces featuring two unique works — the “Purple Crowd” which depicts an abstract group of excited fans within a stadium and “Landscape,” which illustrates snowy mountain peaks with frozen waters below, exemplifying the Canada Goose “Live in the Open” ethos. The limited edition collection evokes a sense of childlike wonderment, brought on by bold and energetic designs.
