eBay has announced a significant Pokémon auction titled “Catch 151,” scheduled to take place during this year’s Pokémon Day on February 27. For 24 hours, collectors and fans will have the opportunity to bid on 151 ultra-rare Pokémon collectibles, with each item starting at the symbolic price of $1.51 USD.

Notably, this unique auction pays tribute to the original 151 Pokémon characters that have become a cornerstone of the franchise’s legacy. Among the rare items up for grabs are sought-after Charizard cards, recognized as the most searched Pokémon character on eBay and other rare finds from the Base Set First Edition, including fan favorites like Blastoise, Venusaur, Mewtwo and Zapdos. Collectors can also expect to find alternate issues of popular Pokémon, one-of-a-kind promo cards and modern “chase” cards, like the Evolving Skies release of Umbreon VMAX, Pikachu Van Gogh cards and more.

In addition to cards, the auction will feature several collaboration items developed with top luxury, fashion and sporting goods brands. While specifics have yet to be revealed at the time of writing, it’s said that there will be items from the Tiffany & Co. x Daniel Arsham collab, Fendi x fragment collab and more. Each item in the auction is backed by eBay’s Authenticity Guarantee, offering buyers peace of mind and the assurance of genuine products.

The “Catch 151” auction is set to take place February 27, starting at 12:01 am EST and will be accompanied by an “eBay Live” stream of the event, featuring a closer look at some of the featured items.
