Free Nationals Joins Forces With Anderson .Paak and A$AP Rocky for "Gangsta"
Marking the group’s first release of the year.
Free Nationals enlisted longtime friend and collaborator Anderson .Paak and A$AP Rocky for their newest single, “Gangsta.”
Clocking at just a little over three minutes, the track opens with .Paak’s melodic singing followed by a verse from Rocky — both of which glide over a smooth rhythm delivered by Free Nationals. ”GANG$TA” marks the four-piece’s first lead release since their self-titled album in 2019, which featured the likes of the late Mac Miller, Kali Uchis, Daniel Caesar, .Paak, T.I., JID and more, and it went to receive a GRAMMY nomination for Best Progressive R&B Album. Similarly, both .Paak and Rocky’s last solo full-length efforts date back to 2019 and 2018 with Ventura and TESTING, respectively, although the former did deliver An Evening with Silk Sonic with Bruno Mars.
