Uniqlo UT Officially Launches SpongeBob x Cactus Plant Flea Market Collection
Arriving in-stores and online worldwide next week.
Following the teaser for the upcoming Uniqlo UT x SpongeBob x Cactus Plant Flea Market collection, the collaboration is now a reality. Cynthia Lu‘s streetwear imprint expands its portfolio after a year of major deliveries including with Nike, Public Enemy, Denim Tears and more.
The limited-edition UT collection highlights the universally popular animated series of everyone’s favorite yellow sponge who lives in a pineapple under the sea. The three-way partnership celebrates the most classic and nostalgic moments of the show but expressed in a wearable retrospective through the guise of Lu’s CPFM. Taking CPFM’s signature humor and style to reimagine Bikin Bottom and its fan favorite residents, the collection features a selection of original collectible plush toys alongside an apparel release consisting of t-shrits, hoodies and a cap.
The t-shirts feature depictions of the Bikini Bottom setting along with the newly reimagined characters by CPFM. CPFM’s sketch style graphic adds a personal touch to the collaboration that focuses on main characters like SpongeBob and Patrick Star. Other show motifs like the Krabby Patty, Krusty Krab and iconic quotes from the cartoon take center stage for the collab. The Uniqlo UT x SpongeBob x Cactus Plant Flea Market collaboration drops on December 12 at select retailers and online. The collection ranges from $14.90 to $49.90 USD.
